Edit Blackout Window Entry

Overview

The Enterprise Service Management (ESM) system Blackout windows entries can be updated as needed to accommodate alignment with business needs.

What materials do I need?

  • Internet connectivity
  • A web browser
  • ESM App Admin, or Enterprise Admin privileges within the applicable ticketing application.

How do I use this technology?

Access to ESM Ticketing Application Blackout Window

  1. Open a web browser.
  2. Navigate to the UA ESM website.
  3. Login to the UA ESM with your UA Email address and password.
  4. Click View Applications.
  5. Click the desired ticketing application (e.g. UA, IT, etc.).
  6. In the Ticketing Application tab, click the Settings (e.g. Gear/Sprocket) icon.
  7. Click Blackout Windows.

Edit Blackout Window Entry

  1. Click the name of the desired Blackout Window.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. The Edit Blackout Window side panel will open.
  4. Scroll down to the list of Entries.
  5. Locate the desired entry to be changed.
  6. Click Edit.
  7. The Edit Entry dialog window will open.
  8. Change the values as desired (e.g. NameOccurrenceOver Date Ranges, etc.)
  9. Once all changes are complete, click Save.
  10. In the Edit Blackout Window side panel, click To Detail button to go back to the summary view of the Blackout Window.
  11. Review the list of entries to ensure correctness.
  12. Click the Close (e.g. X ) button to close the side panel.

Need additional help or have issues

For support, requests may be submitted anytime using the appropriate Enterprise Service Management form. Requests generate a Ticket which will be worked in order received and urgency by IT Employees with the knowledge and permissions to assist with the request.
