Subscribe to Knowledge Base Articles & Categories

Overview

UA students, staff, and faculty who can view a Service Portal's knowledge base can subscribe for updates to categories and articles that they have permission to view.

Important
You must be signed into the Service Portal in order for the Subscribe / Unsubscribe button to be displayed.

  • Internet access
  • Web browser
  • Enterprise Service Management Service Portal customer role, or higher

Updates that Trigger Notifications

Here are the types of updates that trigger notifications to go out:

  • Article Notifications:
    • When the article is published
    • When a revision is published
    • When the published revision is changed
  • Category Notifications
    • When new articles are published in the category
    • When an article revision is published in the category
    • When a published article revision in the category is changed

How to Subscribe

To subscribe to an article or category:

  1. Access the appropriate Service Portal.
  2. Login to the service portal with your UA credentials.
  3. Navigate to the article/category you want to subscribe to.
  4. Click the Subscribe button.

How to Unsubscribe

To unsubscribe from an article or category:

  1. Access the appropriate Service Portal.
  2. Login to the service portal with your UA credentials.
  3. Navigate to the article/category you want to unsubscribe from.
  4. Click the Unsubscribe button.

Need additional help or have issues

For support, requests may be submitted anytime using the appropriate Enterprise Service Management form. Requests generate a Ticket which will be worked in order received and urgency by IT Employees with the knowledge and permissions to assist with the request.
