Edit a Consumable Item

Overview

Creating a consumable item allows organizations to track, and maintain inventory of items that disappear after application, such as health potions, stat buffs, or temporary speed boosts. This guide covers the essential steps to add a consumable, including defining its base attributes. By the end of this article, you will have a fully functional item ready for use with tickets.

What materials do I need?

  • Internet connectivity
  • A web browser
  • Privileges within the UA ESM system to the Assets/CIs module.

How do I use this technology?

  1. Open a web browser.
  2. Navigate to the UA ESM website.
  3. Login to the UA ESM with your UA Email address and password.
  4. Click View Applications.
  5. Click the Assets/CIs.
  6. Click Consumable.
  7. Locate the desired consumable item.
  8. Open the consumable item record.
  9. Click Edit.
  10. Update any standard or custom attribute.
  11. Click Save.

Location, Room, and Quantity aren't editable from the Edit Consumable page. You can adjust the quantity from the Locations tab, the Location's or Room's Consumables tabs, or a ticket instead (see below).

For support, requests may be submitted anytime using the appropriate Enterprise Service Management form. Requests generate a Ticket which will be worked in order received and urgency by IT Employees with the knowledge and permissions to assist with the request.
