Delete an Enterprise Service Management Desktop

Overview

Individuals who have created their own Desktop(s) within the Enterprise Service Management (ESM) system can delete these desktops when they are no longer useful. This article will walk through to process of deleting a Desktop.

What materials do I need?

  • Web Browser
  • TDNext license

How do I use this technology?

  1. Login to ESM.
  2. Navigate to the Desktop tab on the menu bar.
  3. On the right of the Desktop menu bar, click the Manage Desktops icon.
    A list of all desktops associated with your identity will be displayed.
  4. Locate the desired desktop to delete.
  5. Click Delete for the desired desktop.
    Important
    Only desktops created by you can be deleted by you. Any linked desktop(s) will display an informative question mark icon that displays the text This desktop cannot be deleted because it is linked to a desktop template managed by your system administrators.

    If you have any of these linked desktops that you no longer have a need to view, please contact your App Admin to request these be removed from your profile.
  6. A pop-up confirmation dialog box asking if Are you sure you want to delete this desktop? This cannot be undone. Click Ok.
  7. Click the Back to Desktop button.

For support, requests may be submitted anytime using the appropriate Enterprise Service Management form. Requests generate a Ticket which will be worked in order received and urgency by IT Employees with the knowledge and permissions to assist with the request.
