Active Directory

Active Directory (AD) is the system that manages your domain account at the university, and is used to login to university computers, wireless networks, Office 365, and other systems/services.

Data Center

UAA IT maintains managed, secure data centers that can service your physical and virtual server/storage colocation needs.

Email Marketing Platform

UAA's Email Marketing Platform can be used to send email marketing campaigns to targeted University audiences (all staff & faculty, current students of a particular college, alumni, etc.). The platform is capable of tracking and reporting on the success of a particular campaign (whether an email was opened, if a particular link was clicked, etc.).

Endpoint Management System (EPM)

The Endpoint Management System provides centralized management of university owned laptops, workstations, and servers allowing remote installation of applications, patches, and other software fixes.

Enterprise File Storage/Shared Drive

Assistance, and requests related to file storage, data archiving, and other related services and collaboration solutions.

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) (also known as Banner) maintains integrated data that support student, financial aid, human resources, and finance systems across the University of Alaska system.

Enterprise Service Management (ESM)

Assistance, and requests associated with the university's Enterprise Service Management system departmental ticketing application, and the Asset/Configuration Item application.

IT Device Monitoring & Alerting

Assistance, and requests associated with server, and application management, monitoring, and alerting solutions.

Scheduling & Space Management System (SSMS)

The Scheduling & Space Management System (SSMS) for the University of Alaska Anchorage. Used for the managing events; scheduling locations and resources; publishing to web calendars, other tasks or approval for events; and analytics reports for any of those activities. It is currently used for scheduling by most Anchorage Campus departments, Kodiak, Mat-Su & Prince William Sound campuses.

Server Administration

Assistance, or requests associated with administration options for servers located in the university's data centers.

Virtual Desktop (VDI)

Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) allows you to access a virtual computer on your own device that may have access to software and other resources that your own device does not.
