Student Software Support

UAA IT Services will give its best effort to resolve software issues for students. The IT Technical Support Center will provide troubleshooting for most software issues at no cost.

For third-party software issues that cannot be resolved by the Technical Support Center, students may be referred to the Desktop Services for further troubleshooting.

1) Requires a valid UA Username and Password in order to download linked software. 

2) With changes made in Oracle Java licensing, individuals are now required to purchase Java if needed to run applications. We encourage individuals to review Java OpenJDK as an alternative to Oracle Java.

3) macOS Catalina, and newer, no longer supports 32-bit applications. Upgrading may cause some existing applications on your device to stop functioning.

The University of Alaska licenses and supports several software titles for use by university staff, faculty, and students. Additional software not offered by the university may be referenced; however, support for non-supported software titles will be best effort to resolve issues encountered by students, or employees.
