It allows you to make phone calls, using your UAA office phone number, over the Internet from any device with a speaker and microphone, including computers, and mobile devices. A softphone allows you to make telephone calls without an actual, physical telephone.
This application supports the following capabilities:
- Integrated voice
- High-quality video with interoperability to Cisco TelePresence and other video endpoints
- IM, presence
- Visual voicemail
Used for making and receiving phone calls through a computer. Your office phone number must be set up for Jabber before downloading the Jabber client.
Note
While the Cisco Jabber software is technically available for macOS, Windows, Android, and iOS/iPadOS, UAA is only currently licensed to use the software on macOS and Windows. Cisco Jabber for iOS/iPadOS and Android is currently not supported.
