Reassign a Ticket Task

Overview

Tasks on tickets are typically assigned to groups, or individuals, responsible for completing specific sub-components of work. If the task is assigned to the incorrect responsible party it can be reassigned. The following will guide you on how to reassign the responsible party for working on a task from one person/group to another.

What materials do I need?

  • Web browser
  • TDNext license

How do I use this technology?

  1. Open the ticket task you need to reassign.
  2. Click the Edit button.
  3. In the Responsible field, delete your name.
  4. Ensure the Responsible field lists the correct responsible group, or person.
  5. In the Comments field enter notes as to why you are reassigning the task.
  6. Click Save button at the top of the Task window.
